Running through mountains. Running for others.

At Trail Run Advisor, we believe trail running can be a force for good — not just on the trails, but far beyond. What starts with a race bib and a climb up a mountain can ripple outward, bringing hope where it’s most needed.

Today, we want to tell you a story that runs deeper than elevation gain.
A story about second chances, community, and the transformative power of this sport we love.

A Powerful Partnership: Trail Run Advisor x Tangarana

Who is Plataforma Social Tangarana?

We’re proud to collaborate with Plataforma Social Tangarana, a Peruvian non-profit that works with young people from low-income families in the Amazon rainforest. Their goal is simple yet urgent: to help these youths integrate into society through creative and active means — including education, music, and trail running.

Yes, trail running — in the heart of the jungle. In a region where opportunities are scarce, a pair of shoes and a shirt can be a key to self-esteem, belonging, and purpose.

The Initiative: Giving a Second Life to Running Shirts

What We’re Doing

Together with Tangarana, we’ve launched a grassroots initiative with a global heartbeat:
collecting running shirts and donating them to these communities where they can truly make a difference.

What might be an old race shirt to you — folded away in a drawer — can become a young runner’s first connection to a worldwide community.

Why It Matters

For these youth, each shirt is more than a garment. It represents:

  • Dignity

  • Belonging

  • The feeling of being seen and supported

When someone puts on that shirt, they feel part of something bigger — a global trail family cheering them on from afar.

A Global Response from the Trail Running Community

2,000+ Shirts Collected (and Counting)

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of runners, ambassadors, and race organisers from around the world, we’ve already collected over 2,000 shirts.

These shirts have made their way from Europe, North America, and beyond — all the way to the Peruvian Amazon, where they now serve as symbols of connection, hope, and transformation.

More Than a Sport: A Movement of Connection

Trail running is not just a solo adventure. It’s not just about medals or finish lines.
It’s about what we can build — together.

A New Kind of Finish Line

In this project, the finish line isn’t a checkpoint on the trail.
It’s a moment when someone, thousands of miles away, feels valued and included — because of you.

This is more than solidarity. It’s humanity in motion.

One Shirt. One Story. One Second Chance.

Let’s keep building bridges —
one race, one shirt, one life at a time.

Running through mountains. Running for others.
