Golden Gate Spartan Trail Classic

The event fell short of expectations, considering the grand name and branding it carried. The welcome kit included only a banana, a cereal bar, and a bottle of water. Hydration and checkpoint stations were poorly managed—chaotic and disorganized. Although the event was marketed as a 50-mile category and participants received 50-mile bib numbers, the actual race distance was only 50 kilometers, leading to significant confusion.

The course itself was stunning, but there were only three photographers, and they were positioned in areas without any remarkable scenery. The organization was lacking, with non-participants crossing through the course during the race, and the race structure itself collapsing three times throughout the event. For the high entry fee charged, the overall experience was far below expectations.
